Birth control and dry eyes

I'm 44 years old, developed dry eye in January. First the left eye, got that 85% better,now the right eye has a burning sensation. I use p.f. drops,hot compresses, tried Lotemax. Should I consider going off the Pill? Three months ago I switched to Loestrin. I am desperate for relief!!!! Any ideas???

I also stoppped taking my BCP for an entire year to see if it would help my eyes. It did not help them at all and gave me a host of other problems so I went back on it after that.
