Allergic reactions to preservatives!?!
Help!
I've been treated for atleast 9 months with Lotemax, Ocuflox, serum drops, Restasis, Doxycycline.
I believe I have developed an allergic reaction to the preservative Benzalkonium chloride in the lotemax and the ocuflox.
I realized this and am down to Lotemax 1x/day but still having severe reaction to it. Cannot function without it though. Eyes become severely dry.
I think my problem has been so drawn out because they have been treating me with products that have preservatives in it that I am allergic to.
Anyone know of a steriod without preservatives??
I am finding out that the docs are not much help.
I am on Restasis 2/day, Lotemax 1x/day, and blood serum drops.
I feel that if I could get rid of the lotemax, I would be better off. Don't know how though!
