  • Allergic Conjunctivitis

After suffering for almost 9 months, I think I know what my eye condition is; Allergic Conjunctivitis. My eyes and eye lids randomly become red, itchy, and produce mucus, which seems to match the symptoms of Allergic Conjunctivitis. Anyone know of any decent treatment options? I was thinking of asking my doctor about getting a prescription to Pataday, but wanted to know if any of you guys know of some other treatment options. Thank you.

    Hi -

Pataday is pretty innocuous so I would try it. If you respond well then you probably have AC. However, there are other conditions that very closely mirror AC such as MGD and ocular rosacea. Sometimes people have all of these at once. Many people have done allergy tests and then removed the offending items from their surroundings. SallyP has some good posts on her journey. You may want to look her up.

    Best Regards,
    Gretchen
