  • honey for ocular allergies..trying..

hey everyone.. i know some of you have been using honey for your eyes... Well, my sister who doesn't have any eye problems was told to use natural home grown "local" honey for her allergies. She has been having such success with it I have decided to give it a try.. I am going to take 1-2 teaspoons per day.. As I had a bad allergy day yesterday with all the ragweed in the midwest i am desperate and cannot take antihistamines as we all know what those lovely little pills do to dry eyes.!!

ok. so i will keep everyone posted.. if anything it tastes delicious.lol

I've also been making sure to eat a teaspoon of local, raw (as you said, VERY important for it to be local) honey everyday as I've heard it aids in alleviating allergies. I've recently been started on Pataday drops as I had quite an allergic reaction (bright bloodshot eyes) that my Eye Doctor said was allergies. I'm hoping I won't need to be on the Pataday drops once winter hits and we have some good snow cover! Honey is very healthy so I figure it's worth a try!
