  • Cold & Allergy - Dry Eye Gone For a While

So for 2 weeks I had a chest cold, that moved into a head cold.
My nose ran freely, and my eyes watered frequently. So much so
that I could not stop it. I went though a box of tissue in 2 days
    time. Then another...

Except for the nasal problems and a dull headache, I noticed
my vision, was clear, and my my eyes moist. For a short time
I discontinued my warm compresses, Restasus and Dwelle.
Except for excessive tearing, my eyes felt great with all that moisture.
It was nice while it lasted!

The cold then went away after a week, and as quick as it went, I felt an
allergy take over, and my eyes watered again even worse. This lasted
    about 3-4 days.

I felt OK with a lot of sneezing and even had to
get some Claritin-D to stop it! WHAT! I had to now
dry it up, with a decongestant.

Now, i'm back to my old blurry, dry eyed self, but for
a few days, at least, I didn't mind that watery eye cold
    and allergy.

I wish, I could have bottled it, made it into a pill, and still have
just a small portion of it back now.

For a few days I had a cold, but was in heaven!

I've had dry eye for 10 years, and that was the BEST my eyes
    have felt!

Does that sound nuts, or what?

Nope doesn't sound nuts, this is a regular occurrence with me, except I dont get the watering my eyes just feel normal when im sick. I have a recurring congested throat that last months and my eyes feel normal for the whole time until the throat gets better. I have the same effect with anything else thats wrong with me. Its because the inflammation in the eyes is an auto immune reaction, but when theres another problem in the body the body concentrates its defences on the other acute illness- so stops sending inflammation to the eyes which is what causes dry eye.
I healed my dry eye with nutrition and detoxification. I'm now a Nutritional Therapist at: www.nourishbalanceheal.com Join my dry eye facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/420821978111328/
