Reading some archived threads on here, I am wondering if the allergic-type reaction found in my eyes may be Type IV hypersensitivity. I don't have any obvious signs of allergies such as sneezing or itchy eyes (although I do have rhinitis, which I've been told is of the 'non-allergic' kind).
Does anyone have any more information about this they could point me towards? Specifically, how you go about testing for these hypersensitivities. I am in the UK by the way. My GP has already advised me that given the ridiculously long waiting list for the allergy clinic on the NHS, I would probably have to be seen privately.
