  • very watery dry eyes in mid allergy season

Could there be a connection between the pollen count/allergy season and a flare up of dry eye?
It was quite well controlled in the winter and about early May /late april, my eyes started watering excessively. Had been on claritin for respiratory allergies since early April; and some Optivar which my latest ophthalmologist asked me to stop, just retaining the Restasis 2X day and Refresh celluvisc. But it's not seemed to make much difference and meanwhile the condition interferes with work (computer screens are crucial) , driving, mood..

    thanks

Sorry I'm not an expert at all, a newbie actually, but on this site somewhere there is a link to a study/report that does scientifically prove that pollen does reduce your tear film quality. I'm in the middle of my allergy season and would love to know how my eyes will feel after this is over to see if it really is the allergies too.

    Good Luck!
