  • Mobile Dry Eye "Chamber"

I just found this information regarding mobile "Controlled Adverse Environment" units used in Dry Eye clinical trials--see below link. If a company can create something like this to replicate an ADVERSE environment for dry eyes, it makes you wonder if there is a way to replicate an OPTIMAL environment for dry eyes!

wouldn't an optimal environment for dry eyes be humidity? Simply the use of humidifiers does the job!

Humidifiers help but they don't protect from air movement which is really hard on eyes with low break-up time.

Georgia, I think the answer is yes it's possible but there's no money in it. Well, maybe enough for an optical manufacturer (hence all the moisture chamber products on the market) but not for a pharmaceutical. They'd rather sell drugs you pay for every month, not devices you buy once a year or so.
