  • New eyewear option for dry eyes?

This Israeli company has figured out a way to make prescription wrap-around glasses that don't create distortion. Maybe an alternative to MCs for some of us? They show them in sunglasses but I don't see why they couldn't be clear if you wanted them that way. Apparently available in many other parts of the world. Wondering if anyone has tried them?

I emailed my brother who is an optician in Victoria BC, Canada. He wrote:

Our lab is Shamir and we use their wrap technology in all our more curved frames and all our progressives as does Oakley and Maui Jim. Your older Wileys might not use that tech as our lab opened about 3 years ago.
Thank you, browneyesblu! I'm going to get some new lenses in my Wiley frames!

      Hi spmcc,

I'm glad this helped someone. Did you get your new lenses yet? I'm very interested to know how you like them. I don't know if distortion was an issue for you, it is for me. If so, did the Shamir lenses eliminate it? Thanks.
