  • Menthol warm compress

    Hi, this looks like a simple, cheap, and effective treatment protocol discovered by Japanese researchers (2017), and I was wondering if anybody has tried it.

    "Effects of a warm compress containing menthol on the tear film in healthy subjects and dry eye patients."

    I'm thinking about conducting my own little experiment, but since I use a Bruder-type eye mask I'm not sure how to apply the menthol.

    And I wonder if there would be less improvement among those of us with LASIK who might have a dysfunctional afferent corneal nerve reflex arc?
