  • Microwaveable Eye Bags

Is it worth is to buy a microwaveable eye bag off amazon for £13? It seems they are just a bag made of cotton or whatever and just filled with linseeds, I could make this myself for £2. As well I hear the bags only last for a month or two as the seeds lose their heat retaining abilities and become "ruined". Anyone made there own, also which seed can be heated the hottest without burning and retrains heat best?

Personally I like rice best - there's a reason rice baggies are 'the' classic way to make a heat pack for achy things in general. Absolutely no reason you can't make your own. Take a pair of clean sheer socks or get a pair of pantyhose and cut off the legs... toss in a handful or two of rice (or flaxseed, linseed, whatever) and tie it off. The reason you might want to buy one is just if you like the way they're made - comfy materials etc - or have a way to keep them clean like a slipcover of some kind.
