Watching myself blink on a camcorder

I've had dry eyes for nearly a year but today I saw myself for the first time as I appear to other people. My husband just bought a camcorder and I was his first subject. I couldn't believe how hard and how often and how long I blink, and how weird it looks. I had no idea I was blinking like this, it was a shocker; this is how other people see me every time I look at someone and talk to them. It must be very distracting. It is a good thing I usually wear sunglasses. I know how uncomfortable dry eyes feel, but I never knew what it looks like to someone else who has to look at me. I feel strange when I talk to people and keep my eyes closed, but maybe that is better than trying to keep them open and blinking like this. Judy
