  • how to avoid developing dry eye after viral conjunctivitis?

Hello everybody. My name is Paul. About 7-8 months ago I suffered from viral conjunctivitis in my right eye (and a little in my left eye as well). It was a very severe one. It took me about a month to recover, after using steroids and lots of cold compresses.

Now the virus has gone, but I'm developing dry eye on my right eye due to the severity of the conjunctivitis, and it's burning more and more as time goes by, and I also have foreign body sensation almost all time, and sensitivity.

I don't know how to prevent further deterioration.

    I'm afraid it becomes chronic.

    Does anybody has any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

I saw three eye doctors and all of them agreed that it was viral because of my symptoms.

Do you developed chronic dry eye after conjunctivitis? What are you doing now to deal with it?
