Has anyone else been instructed to use this on the outside of the eyelid? That is what my doc told me to do, but the instructions say to place it inside...thanks

My Doctor believe that paraffin, liquid paraffin, wool fat and white petrolatum.in that product posable can interfere with MG ..My self i would agree i think using any Thick gels or ointment is like getting short term result at the long term consequence..I expressed the same concern to the maker of the product they didn't respond.

I wonder if that's why she recommended putting outside not inside my lids.I like the fact it contains vitamin A. How do you feel it would interfere? Do you fear it would further clog them?

I have been suffering from MGD since 1998. I'm 51 years old and it took forever to diagnose. I've tried everything imaginable and I've seen a gazillion of specialists. Ocunox has been my saviour. I use it at night and sometimes even during the day if I'm desperate (it does end up making the skin around my eye greasy and it does make my eye makeup smudge), but I feel better and my eye looks MUCH better (less swollen and sore). Above and beyond that, my TBT (tear breakup time) has improved from a 2 to a 6. This was performed through a machine (can't recall what it's called, but it also shows your glands ... it's a brand new machine). I can't tell you how much I recommend this stuff. Is there any "proof"/literature that indicates that it can "interfere" by "clogging" your glands further? I'm very well read on the subject since I'm always looking for ways to contend with this ... and I have found nothing. You?? Anyone?

I don't know how much it contributed to my eye improvement, but I wipe a teeny bit of "soothe", the nighttime lubricant ointment, around my lids just so I can wipe my tears away without irritating the skin so much. Did a couple of other things too, so can't say that was it, but it helped.
