I would only use Muro 128 under a doctor's recommendation. It is a very hypertonic solution designed to pull water out of the cornea. An eye that is inflamed already will potentially become even more inflamed with more hypertonicity.

Yes, I agree re: the application of Muro 128 is to be used only with doctor's orders. I had noted that in the thread earlier. I was not encouraging others to use it, was simply describing my regimen.

I have to say, my eyes feel so much better now when I wake up. I'm not scrambling to find the drops now the instant I awaken! What a wonderful feeling! I do still need to use the drops, but the ointment and having my eyes better hydrated during the day with the plugs carry me through the night pretty well.
