I loved using Lotemax it was great, but it caused my eye pressure to go up a lot and my doctor was concerned I would end up with glaucoma so he took me off. He would put me back on when things got really bad, but he always weaned me off.

I have been on Lotemax for 2 weeks now (1-2 times per day), and I have been feeling lots better. Though I tried not using any drops yesterday and now today my eyes are super inflammed. I am going to try the I-Brite procedure, but do not have the money as of now to do it yet. I have read reviews on it, and people keep saying that they feel better than ever. Honestly as bad as this sounds, my eyes don't hurt/burn all that often...its just they get so inflammed/red, this is what bothers me the most. I used to think I was really pretty and had lots of self confidence, but now all i think about when I look at people is..I wonder if they are staring at my eyes? I would risk the surgery than live like this all my life. It's nice to know I have people to talk to that understand, so thanks everyone for listening.

Hi Mawsky, I am now on Muro 128. The doctor is now thinking I have RCE's. I have made an appointment with a corneal specialist but that is in mid-May. My opthamalogist said that I would know in two weeks if the Muro helps. So far I haven't seen any improvement in the blurriness. My tranquileyes arrived today. I am anxious to give them a try. I have plugs, am on restasis, have tried steroid drops and every other otc drop made and nothing seems to help. My dr. told me he is running out of options. I will be interested to hear what the corneal specialist has to say. Maybe he will try the contact lens. When I have the abrasions I would say it is more discomfort than actual pain. It feels like I have something in my eye and of course my eyes are very blurry. Rt. eye is worse than the left. I do have a very high tolerance for pain though in general. This condition is so perplexing!

Oh Linda, I wish you didn't have to wait to see the specalist. I have a friend who has RCE and she said that hers is worse in the AM but improves as the day wears on, she also discribed that when she would look in a direction sometime she would get a quick pain, but that it would go away. with me like you said I feel as tho I have something in my eye, I will put in drops constantly but to no help. Please repost when you see the Corneal Dr. I'm very interested to hear what he has to say.
