  • Hydrocortison eye ointment for lid margins

Anyone ever tried a smear of hydrocortisone eye oinment to the lid margins ?- It comes in 3 doses - 0.5%;1% and 2.5%
I would imagine the 0.5% would be safest
I've never used it - even if i could persaude my GP to give me an
Rx - but it is out there and i wondered if anyone had tried it

    Fucithalmic Viscous Eye Drops

    Hi there

I suffer from severe meibomian glands swelling and painfully dry eyes
    from lasik.

I begged my doctor to give me an antibiotic eye cream.
    He finally did
He gave me fucithalmic viscous eye drops
fusidic acid 1% in preservative free drops and I use it for my eyelids
because I have so much swelling and bacteria.

I use one tube vial per day on put it on my eyelashes and eyelids.

I haven't been prescribed it but I once purchased Hc45 Hydrocortisone cream from Boots the Chemist (Hc45 is part of the E45 range)

It states not to put it near the eyes although I tried just a teensy weensy bit around the lash line on one eye lid for a few days. It didn't make any difference at all.

I seem to recall having a bit of a battle with the girl at Boots; the usual humiliating interrogation that we have to go through if something has a `warning' on it.
