Restasis vs. Xiidra

Suddenly, my insurance refuses to cover Restasis and is forcing me onto Xiidra. My insurance plan, GIC/CVS Caremark, covers state employees in Massachusetts so I was shocked. I've been successfully using Restasis since its first introduction. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm guessing that at $300+ per month, Allergan has priced themselves out of the game. Is Xiidra working for you - especially if you have inflammatory disease?

Xiidra did not work for me. I would talk to your doctor and see if you can force the issue with your insurance. Perhaps if your doctor wrote a letter saying tat Restasis works for you and it would be a risk to try Xiidra in case you backtracked
