  • Doing better, sharing hope

    Hi All,

I'm back, to share that I am probably 70% better and my quality of life is MUCH better. You can look back at my previous posts when I was really suffering. I tried a lot of things. I saw many many doctors. I spent a ton of money. I cried a lot. My diagnosis is dry eye, corneal neuropathy and mast cell activation disorder. I have almost no ocular pain now and I have days where hours go by and I don't think about my eyes - which is a triumph for certain.

I know everyone is different and please note that I respect your journeys and I honor you.

    What is working for me:

    Autologous serum 40% 5 times/day
    Xiidra
    Silicone plugs lower
PEA (https://www.vitalitus.com/buy/pea/pea-faq/) - recommended by functional MD
    Glutamine
    Hydroeye
    Vitamin D
    Probiotic
    Sometimes Systane Balance
    Humidifier at work
    Exercise 3-4x/wk
    No dairy
    Sleep 8 hours

I am wearing contacts again a few times a week, and even trying (trying) to wear some makeup. Let me know if you want to know more about something. I wanted to check back in, because I spent so much time reading this forum when I was struggling and alone.

    Be well.

    Love,

    Mel

    glad you have made it.

Lid cleanser: do you use any specific brand?

No dairy: because of allergies issue?

    PEA: what are the functions?

    Thanks again for sharing.
