  • Dentist vs ophthalmologist

    Just a random thought.

Dentist: Oh your in pain, come in this morning and we'll check it out, it's important to catch problems early, dental health is important.

Ophthalmologist/GP: (after weeks/months) Stop whining about nothing and drown your eye in toxic eye drops, our time is better spend with serious problems.

Something to that effect could fit on a tshirt, discuss...
prevention is better than cure, but not for eyes?

Dentist: Thank you for telling me your daughter had an intracranial hypertension reaction to oral tetracycline (asked). I will research this carefully and phone you within 2 days with my local anesthetic plan.
Any doctor ever: What meds is she on? Have you got anyone who can monitor that?

GP: My other patient (elderly) went blind after he (ophthalmologist) prescribed steroid like that but she is really happy with her lens replacement (signs steroid prescription).
Me: Can we have a paediatric specialist referral?
GP: No. They're not on Choose & Book. Pay Private then we've got a letter to show the NHS Referral Committee. Love your eye surface photos of neovascularisation half way across the cornea - did you take them yourself with an Olympus?

Vet: I will do a blood test and let you know what he has (dog).
Me: Shall I phone in a few days?
Vet: No. I do it round the back. It just takes a moment (diabetic, adrenal)
Me: Can I bring my kids to you?
Vet: <laughs> I know just what you mean. Sorry.

littlemermaid, your sophisticated medical knowledge is way over my head

Re: bumper stickers, i've thought of some revisions. How about:

PIC. OF LEFT EYE...........PIC. OF RIGHT-EYE

        TEXT ON LEFT-EYE STATES:
        DROUGHT
        DRY

        TEXT ON RIGHT-EYE STATES:
        WILDFIRE
        SENSITIVE

THEN... Below the sketches of the eyes:

        FACED WITH SEVERE ELEMENTS
        MANY SPECIALISTS OPHTH OUT!

        =====================

        as for the desert idea:

        ARE DESERTS DRY, RED-HOT
        ..............AND SENSITIVE?............X
ARE SOME EYES ALL THE ABOVE?...Y
        [DRY-EYE-PIC]...DOCTORS WHY
        ..............................DESERT US....?
