  • aching of right socket, right cornea, right cheeks and tonsil

    hi, guys.

does anyone have this aching of eyeball, socket, sometimes causing headache, etc. its like there is big pressure in your eyes(IOP is normal). my eyeball is gonna pop out from socket. this only happens to my right eye after having plugs in all 4 tear ducts.

one thing i realise is that my right nose always snuffles, but my left nose is ok to breathe, so nornally i dont find it hard to breathe. the thing is when my right eye feels quite dry, then i just have these dryness, flare-up n inflammation rather than pressure n when i my right eye feels good, the pressure would come to my right eye, head, even throat. dont really know whats going on.

some people said i might have sinusitis due to constant snuffle of right nose n this might be the reason of aching. but i heard most drugs for sinusitis might worsen dry eyes. but there are 2 ways which seem to be des friendly, saline irrigation n saline spray. i saw spray in boots, but cant find the irrigation stuff. can i buy it in uk? anyone knows?

i also saw nasal strips. has anyone tried this before? is it helpful?

i had my tonsils sliced a year ago due to chronic inflammation. it this related to the full feeling.

    thank u, guys~

    robinz re aching of face.

Hi robinz when i read your thread it sounds similair to my problems, i would get your doctor to refer you to an ent specialist..mine is caused by a deviated septum of which im having surgery i bought a saline irrigation kit from my local chemist for 8 pounds..Thats including the special salts as well.. regards cb.

i just got sea water nasal spray from boots.

i tried it n i got this sea water everywhere, but my nose is still not clear~

you got similar nose problem? does it affect your eyes?

if i go to see my gp now, i guess it would take a year to see a specialist. how long have u waited for it? or you just simply went to private hospital like bupa

I think shes from the states, i dont think they have waiting lists like us.
I have seen an ENT on the NHS, you dont have to wait a year for consultation and scan but id say the total time from referal- to consultation-to ENT scan then if you need surgery to correct anything is about a year. So it adds up. Its like a few months for one thing then another few months for another and so on. I think if they spread it out they try and say waiting lists are going down

Anyway, i didnt have surgery in the end coz it turned out (i worked this out myself) that my sinus pain was actauly muscular pain (myofascial), even though i was offered it. Look this up, it can also cause the sensation of stuffiness and it is actualy alot more common than sinus headaches.

Theres a technique called upside down irrigation. Just tip head over bath and pour salt water in and fills up both sinuses. Google it for better description.

oops, my mistake. cherry said she got that saline irrigator at a price of 8 pounds. so i thought shes in uk as well

i tried this up side down irrigation with sterimar sea water nasal spray yesterday. saline water did come to my throat through my nose, but after that, right nose was still blocked. last night, i found it really hard to sleep as both of my nose passangers are blocked. it took hours to breathe properly in the end. luckily this doesnt happen every night~

i guess the next thing i should do is to see my gp for referal to see an ent specialist.
