  • An eyelid gel that really helps

    Hi Folks

I am posting for people in G B

I'm a veteran and used to post regularly -
I just want to let people know of an eyelid gel I found by accident
It is sold in Marks and Spencers

It is called "Gentle eye gel" and is for "all types of skin" Part of the "daily care" skin products sold in their cosmetic section
It is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitve skin
It comes in a small thin 30gram tube and is a clear gel
It contains CHAMOMILLE and ARNICA which I think must be the ingredients that help

I use a tiny bit in the morning after washing my face
I put it on the eyelid margins(if you get it in your eyes it stings for a few seconds)Then i put it on the outer upper and lower lids
Since using this I have improved greatly

I have always felt the need for some kind of cream for my lids which are soo dry and I used to use vasaline but this gel is much better and I think it has promoted healing for the mebomian glands

I have had Blepharitis/MGD/dryeye syndrome for years

Since using this gel i have not needed to use drops or heat and massage for several weeks now

    Hope this helps somebody

    Stella

Stella, It is so kind of you to post up - it's a joy to know you're feeling good x

I wonder what the ingredients are because they're not listed on the product details.

It definately gives you the ingredients on the tube
If I was better with the computer I would photgraph it and put it on line
That would probably take me all day so you will have to make do with description - sorry

This is a thin white tube with turquoise writing
On the front it has in capitals FORMULA then skin care
Below that DAILY CARE in a turquoise band
Below that in black GENTLE EYE CARE followed by- for all skin types

On the back is a lot of small writing --
helps cool and refresh your eye area
leaves skin feeling soothed and hydrated
            Contains chamomille and arnica extracts
Free from barabens fragrance and colour
Hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin

Sorry about it only being available in GB -- You could google up Marks and Spencers and try to contact them
            Good luck to you all

                Ingredients, for anyone interested:

                Glycerin
                PEG-8
                PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil
                Bis-PEG-15 Methyl Ether Dimethicone
                Phenoxyethanol
                Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer
                Propylene Glycol
                Panthenol

                Caprylyl Glycol
                Imidazolidinyl Urea
                Sodium Hydroxide
                Disodium EDTA
                Algae
                Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract
                Arnica Montana Flower Extract
                Allantoin
                Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract
                Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
                Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer
                DMDM Hydantoin
                Diazolidinyl Urea

Phew! Quite a list. I'm not the best at 'reading' ingredient lists for potential irritants, but hope this helps anyone who may be more aware of what ingredients their skin cannot handle.

Thank you Stella for posting about this and I am glad to hear it is helping you.

Interesting, will pick some up, thanks for the tip.

Do you hae red eyelids at all? Mine are red which to me says they are inflamed, wonder if this might bring that inflammation down a little.

ok, have used this, can not really say is magical but it has not definitely done any harm.
Similar effect to Tears Again, another product I have used alternatively.
