  • Pre-existing Neuropathic pain and PROSE sclerals

Sorry to be repeating myself, but I have neuropathic pain caused by botched neurosurgery on trigeminal nerve. It caused extensive damage to entire left side of my face, but most severely, to eye. I had extensive paralysis of muscles in left side of face, including eyelids and tongue, cheeks. Anyhow, thank God, I have experienced some improvement, now that it's 1 1/2 yrs later...but still have severe dry eye disease. I am curious to know if anyone else with neuropathic pain has ever been evaluated for sclerals, been fitted for them, is able to actually use them. I would imagine it depends alot on severity of pain, type of nerve damage, location of most severe pain, and much more.

I hope someone has some experience with this problem.
