  • Mask not staying on for Nocturnal Lagophthalmos

    Hi all,

i purchased the tranquileyes eye mask to wear when I sleep. But when I wake up, the mask is always on the floor....

How can I stop the mask from falling off when I sleep???

I found EyeSeals stayed on a lot better than TranquilEyes and also has a tighter seal, because it has strap that can be more securely tightened and the material of the mask forms more to the contours of the face sealing out the air. But for some people they still remove these masks in their sleep, so bubble bandages or taping their eyes shut at night work better. The Dry Eye Shop has several options in this area, along with videos that can help assist you:

It also helped me to train myself to sleep more on my back, but that’s not possible for everyone to do.

Yeah...it's annoying because I've already invested $50 in the TranquilEyes mask already, and don't want to blow another $60 on another mask that may fall off.

Well I don’t know where you bought the TranquilEyes, but both the Dry Eye Shop and manufacturer EyeEco have a return policy for TranquilEyes and EyeSeals:

          https://dryeyeshop.com/pages/return-policy

          https://www.eyeeco.com/returns-and-exchanges.html

It’s a good idea to check the return policies when you make an outlay like this, eye product or otherwise, to be cognizant of the timeframe you have to return it, whether it needs to be returned with the original packaging, etc.
