  • Is rosacea an autoimmune issue?

Asking because I have ocular rosacea and had read lately they believe it is, and where I live when getting a covid shot they ask if you have AI issues. I am worried the vaccine could make this worse if it is an AI issue. How have people who have ocular rosacea fared with vaccines? Anyone appear to have a bad reaction to the vaccine or have their problems get worse after the fact?

I don't know if ocular rosacea is autoimmune, but it is often associated with autoimmune syndromes. I have Sjogrens, which is the source of my dry eyes, and I also have ocular rosacea. I am fully vaxxed and boosted and never had a problem with my eyes (just mild body aches). My rosacea is worsened by stress (even very minor stresses) but otherwise it just goes along with general inflammation. (It's there most of the time). For me, it gives me more discomfort than the dryness.
