  • Honey

Okay, I have to ask ... I have read a lot of posts here about people using honey on and IN their eyes and eyelid margins. Are we talking just regular honey? And is this for MGD? I'm having a hard time controlling my MGD so I'm curious ...

i would never put it in your eyes. for me, if it gets even close, it burns. there's a product called optimel that is manuka honey for ophthalmic purposes. but i think a lot of the people on this forum just use any manuka honey that is considered high quality. it must be manuka honey, not regular honey, as manuka honey has been show to have anti-bacterial properties.
