Choosing the Right Eye Doctor – Tips and Recommendations?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been needing to get my eyes checked, but I’m a bit overwhelmed with the choices for eye doctors in my area. I’m not sure whether to see an optometrist or an ophthalmologist first. Also, how do you evaluate which doctor is reliable and thorough?
