  • Maybe something for you who don't have access to serum?

Hi, please read my earlier posts to get background since I don't have time to write it again.

Long story short, I mix my 100 percent serum drops with omega 3 eggs (see my other posts), it sounds crazy but gives good relief. The other day I made a mistake - I normally run the egg in a blender before mixing it with serum. Afterwards I decided to use the remaining egg for a protein smoothie and forgot that I hadn't taken aside some of the mixed egg for making eye drops. So I poured in some coconut milk and mixed. I was very stressed and after realising my mistake I decided to try to use the egg coconut milk blend as eye drops and it felt quite soothing.

I mixed maybe 50 percent egg (both yolk and white) and 50 percent coconut milk, and dragged it up in a 1 ml syringe (a syringe similar to this one http://www.amazon.com/100-Syringe-Lu...bxgy_194_img_z)

Then I drop it into the eyes. I keep it for a like three days maximum in the fridge.

I never enter this forum and I really can't answer any questions about this since it's just a loose idea, but just wanted to throw it out there.

    Hi Lelagy,

    Nice idea

My eye doctor also suggested the following:

    https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02153515

I think this was posted by another user. You can buy a lancet easily from a pharmacy or amazon. Also it's a great idea for eye drops on the go, since I know serum drops have to be kept in the fridge.

I hate playing doctor, but given the risk of salmonella in raw eggs, I would not put them into your eyes. The website below mentions that an individual can become infected with salmonella "through splashing of contaminated material into the eyes."

Can anyone find out how albumin is treated before using for epithelial defects? I'm getting the usual restricted access paywalls http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25853388 J Ocul Pharmacol Ther. 2015 Jun;31(5):291-5. doi: 10.1089/jop.2014.0161. Epub 2015 Apr 8. If you go for the coconut milk thing it might be good to go for organic, preferably not canned in a BPA-laden can:

Maybe coconut oil or MCT-oil would be another idea, at least mixed with egg.

This salmonella thing is a valid concern, it might depend on country, in Sweden where I live salmonella is not a big problem as far as I know so I'm willing to risk it.

This using albumin for epithelial defects is interesting in this context since egg contain albumin.
