Hi I'm a 46 year old male from Australia suffering
Chronic dry eye
Currently I'm using restasis which is was working very well but now I'm not so sure my dr has put me on fml and restasis but at the moment my eyes are very bad.
I have permanent punctual plugs.
Do people find changing lubricant drops ie types and brands helps?
I've used or am using Systane ultra gel hyloforte polyvisc gel and oasis tears
And advice would be grateful
Restasis is not widely available in Australia

Hi ngaora, you may wish to go to Australian Dry Eye and contact us there for further information. We have a list of ophthalmologists specializing in dry eye. They will treat you with more specificity than your current regime that seems to be all over the place. You're using too many different drops and not getting to the real issues. I'd also drop Polyvisc since "paraffin" based ointments can make dry eyes worse. HyloForte is excellent, keep using that but you need a thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan from a specialist who really knows dry eye.
