My eyes were in bad a really way when first told by my optometrist that the meibomian glands were either blocked obstructed or capped...years of intermittent eye infections had left me with the greyline thickened by keratin, obstructing the meibom causing it to thicken and become sticky and dysfunctional and in this 'concretion' my lashes stuck fast criss crossing this way and that like a zipper ensuring nothing was flowing naturally...nothing would clean this sticky meibom successfully at a melting point of 45C or more but what I did find extremely useful was those little tooth pick brushes used for cleaning (flossing) between your teeth...used very gently, once soften by either hot water or my favorite warmed coconut oil I could hook up and free my lashes from the sticky secretion...I think that in it's self was the major contributor in keeping the whole system dysfunctional...I can't stress enough to be very gentle when doing it...the more cheaper tooth brush picks seem to have softer bristles...in the beginning I needed the harder ones...go easy and good luck...
