Question for experts out there

I have dry eye and probably have for many years - last 2 months I went to dentist for my teeth and I was diagnosed with grinding - I am in the process of getting my teeth fixed - Veneers, etc - anyway - my mouth has been dry lately and my lips stick together - and they feel dry - I started to use a mouth guard at night and have a physical in a few weeks -

Do you think the mouth guard is causing dry mouth/lips - or am I developing the Sjogren's Syndrome - I have no joint aches or arthritis
