Lasik - severe dry eye Please Help

I had Lasik eye surgery 8 days ago and have severe dry eye in one eye. Can anyone give me some hope here and tell me this complication has gone away for you and I just need more time to heal? I really need some hope right now. I have three young children and I can't really live like this. I can't sleep or eat much and just try to get through each day but it's been really unbearable.
