Starting to see more articles like this about potential serious problems from LASIK. Hopefully awareness is increasing for people to think twice about getting it, create more legal regulations that require LASIK surgeons to do more thorough screening and review of potential complications with candidates and meet more training requirements, and develop more treatments and understanding for those who are suffering the after effects.
Just yesterday someone I know said they are considering LASIK. He probably will need cataract surgery in ~5 years. I’m telling him maybe just wait and have vision corrected when he has the cataract surgery because of potential complications with an elective surgery like LASIK. Will be sending him this article.
