doc is suggesting plugs

My doc wants me to try plugs in the lower puncta of both eyes. He has Odyssey (sp?), shaped like diamonds? They're long lasting. I am concerned. My right eye has the implant and I am using a contact in the left as we wait for the cataract to grow or for the dry eye to come under control. I am not happy with the implant and the dry eye does not make it any better, but not much I can do about it.

Anyway, any thoughts on this plug?
