  • cauterized eye tested weith dye-doc says closed but still painfully dry. :(

i went last wed to yet another ophamologist-he tested my left eye with a dye that i had to keep in for several minutes.. he said the puncta was closed.. that night my eye killed me from the dye-doesnt take much to hurt my eyes.. anyway for a few days my eye felt better -the doc had also expressed my glands.. but after a few days my left eye has been consistently ext dry and painful. I am going back in a few days...

Can Cautery itself cause a sjogrens person to keep flaring in the eye it was done in? Or could it be possible it is still partially open even though i had the dye test along with 2 other doc opinions of looking through the slit lamp that also said the puncta is shut? i thought i would feel better after cautery.?
    can anyone help me???
