new upper plug-area still red after 2 days.???

the doc had to probe my upper puncta to get the plug in very flat.. today it is red and i had it done wed... im assuming the redness is probably due to his probing the opening to get the plug in??? anybody else experience this?/
i hope it goes away soon... makes for an uncomfortable eye....
