had cautery in right upper puncta & now see an opening? normal? doc says so

my upper left puncta from cautery 6 weeks ago has no opening at all but my right one i just had done on Wed has an opening as of this morning. i called my doc and he said it is prob just a superficial opening etc... he said i could come in 2 weeks if its dry and he can probe or use a tasting dye on it and then re cauterize if necessary

i was just curius as i read thru old posts that some of u said your cauterized eyes looked like they had puncta open but they too were actually closed???
could it be its just open on the surface and closed beneath??

sometimes i wish i wasnt so nearsighted and that i couldnt see these things!
