Plugs Question
Hey, all! I'm new here and had some quick questions.
I recently went to the eye doctor and had complained about an eyelid twitch in my lower right eyelid and about feeling that my eyes were dry in the evenings. He gave me a full eye examination and did a schirmer dry eye test on me as well. He found that I have moderately dry eyes (10 & 7) on my eyes. He told me to take eyedrops 3-4x a day.
I asked him about tear duct plugs since I had been reading up on them and he told me that my eyes were not dry enough to warrant having those. Is this true? Do your eyes have to be drier than mine otherwise you'll tear up all of the time with them in?
I'm not a big fan of eye drops, especially if I have to take them for the rest of my life. I'm not sure what is the cause of my dry eyes since it just started happening recently and my LASIK eye surgery was 1 1/2 years ago. Can your eye heal itself over time or do most people have it for the rest of their life?
