Has anyone here had an intracanalicular plug migrate and become stuck inside? I had an oasis form fit put in about 6 months ago. It worked great for several months and then I felt dry again. Doctor said that it probably wasn't occluding more than 80 percent. She went ahead and put a regular silicone plug in the punctum leaving the oasis plug inside. I had another doctor try to irrigate the oasis plug out when the regular silicone plug fell out. She was unable to irrigate it out.
Has anyone else been thru this. One doctor told me not to worry about it being inside and that I will probably eventually swallow it. The other doctor thought it should come out but was unable to irrigate it out. At this point, it would require surgery which is not recommended. I'm worried of course and was wondering if anyone has been thru anything similar. NEVER again for me intracanalicular plugs!
