I had Eagle FlexPlugs for - the most recent time - probably close to a year in one eye and some months in another (lowers only).
As with all my experiences of plugs, I was basically trying them in case they helped me with contact lens tolerance, since I am not correctible with glasses and have to wear gas permeable contacts. I had no epiphora but also no really noticeable benefits.
I had a slight problem with irritation of the sclera (white of the eye) with these plugs, though their design is supposed to discourage that.
Actually, I recently got rid of my last plug and have no intention of getting any more plugs. One had fallen out and I only had the right one. Every now and then I felt like my right eye actually had more pain than the left, and I wasn't sure whether the plug was contributing to that. Since removing it I think that the eye is slightly more comfortable on my "very dry" days but it's hard to tell.
