  • T Lens?

Three years ago my eye doc suggested some type of large contact lens to help with my dry eyes. I said no because I've never even been able to wear regular contacts for vision correction. His notes say, "Consider T-lens - patient not interested due to previous poor experience with SCL's." I'm assuming the SCL's is contact lenses.

Are the t-lens the same as scleral lenses? If you can't wear regular contacts is there any chance you could wear these? I've had a host of eye issues since I was a child (astigmatism, amblyopia, etc.) And now I'd added presbyopia to that. I don't have pain with my dry eye, never have. Basically dry, burning, and occasional sensitivity to light, and blurriness. BUT the blurriness could be just the need for a new prescription rather than associated with the dry eye.
Dry Eye / MGD / Blepharitis / Dry spots
    Astigmitism / Amblyopia / Presbyopia
Graves' Disease (no GED at this time; hopefully never)
    Two punctal plugs
