https://www.rnib.org.uk/eyehealth/wh...out_eclos.aspx List of UK Eye Clinic Liaison Officers, all ready to help us. People wonder if we 'qualify' for help from these kind people because we are not necessarily losing vision.
Three different UK hospital Eye Clinic Support Officers, one in Dublin, were all ready to help sufferers as best they can when I phoned recently. They were all very aware of the pain and fear people with eye conditions can suffer, even if we call it 'dry eye pain', although 'chronic inflammation' or 'corneal neuropathy' would be fairer descriptions for some people.
The UK Samaritans http://www.samaritans.org/ are a wonderful organisation, there night and day for us too in those dark times on telephone 08457 90 90 90 or email or skype.
As with all counselling and support workers, if it doesn't work out with one, we move on to another until we find one that works for us.
What's available in other countries?
