Hello all! My name is Patti. I'm 46 years old, and am so thankful for this forum.
I've a dry area on the right eye from 2 failed glaucoma surgeries that responds happily to Refresh Tears. The left eye is my worry, as I seem to have a blocked tear duct and am scheduled for an external DCR surgery. I'm here hoping to lend compassionate support to other members, as well as recieve some encouragement for my upcoming surgery. Due in part to a history of early years of eye treatment/associated trauma, I have an extreme sensitivity, both physical and phobic, to anyone touching my lids.
By contrast, I can happily nod off while getting a tooth drilled at the dentist's, though.
