  • scleral lens for neuotropic keratitis

    Greetings all,

I noticed that someone posted quite a while back a query about use of scleral lens for keratitis but I couldn't see where anyone had responded. I am really eager to hear what others' experience has been as I consider this option.
I have a palebral spring in my eyelid, implanted following surgery for removal of a tumor on the 7th cranial nerve. In the past few years, I have had several problems with corneal roughness/irritation etc. I have been using a soft bandaid contact for the past ten months and it helps but is not totally satisfactory. So now the opthamologist (who inserted the spring) thinks that a Jupiter scleral lens might help/

Anyone else have a similar problem? I would love to hear about others experiences as I do reeasrch and try to decide what to do.

    Sherna
