Hello everyone.
I'm a soft contact lens wearer post 2 LASIK procedures. I have chronic dry eye and joined this online group to find information/answers about punctal plugs and possible Restasis use. My first LASIK procedure was in 2002 and I had a "tune-up" years later but don't remember exactly when.
I've been using fish oil/omega 3s, hot compresses, Systane, Refresh and gel drops to treat my dry eyes. My optometrist suggested my next step would be punctal plugs. I don't recall any of the tear test results but I feel that my dry eyes have just become progressively more uncomfortable.
I work full time at at desk using a computer all day and the humidity in my office is usually between 10-20%. I have a whole-house humidifier at home which I keep at 35-40%.
There is a lot of useful information here that I've seen while lurking but some of the terminology and acronyms I need to research further before I attempt to post a question or seek advice.
