Hey everyone, I'm new to this site.
I first contracted anterior blepharitis (scaling and crusting along the eyelashes) in my right eye @ 22. I was able to completely control it for about 3 years using hot compresses 2x/day and general lid hygiene. However, I developed posterior blepharitis (MGD and possibly aqueous deficiency) in BOTH eyes @ 25, and have been dealing with it ever since. I have seen countless opthamologists, a dermatologist, rheumatologist (auto-immune disease specialist), endocronologist, allergist, acupuncturist, and chiropractor, to no avail. I am constantly looking for new research and ideas regarding this frustrating condition. Please feel free to send me a message if you have any new treatment ideas or if you just need someone to bounce ideas off of.
p.s. I also post @ http://www.blepharitisforum.com
