I thought this link was interesting:
http://cks.library.nhs.uk/blepharitis/in_summary
It's an NHS guide for doctors treating blepharitis. I see they recommend oral antibiotics for "non-marked" infection: oxytetracycline, tetracycline or doxycycline. This interests myself as I currently think I have posterior blepharitis which I think is infection without visible evidence.
Interestingly they have the crappy treatment for "dry eye" which is lacrilube and hypromellose. However they distinguish between "dry eye" and "blepharitis". I think their understanding is "dry eye" is aqueous deficient responding to artifical drops and gel and "blepharitis" is infection or MGD.
Regards,
Bruce
