Presentations from international conferences on current treatments for dry eyes. I am finding the treatment protocols for different surface disease specialists very interesting and useful. As patients, this helps us understand why treatment recommendations and even diagnosis can feel a bit random between different docs, and to realise we are looking for docs who are not just skilled enough to bring about healing, but ready to have dialogue and work with us through the bad times in mutual respect. Also mentions options on the way eg new low-dose steroids like loteprednol, topical doxycycline, azithromycin.
