I am wondering if anyone in the scientific community is gathering online research data for people with dry eye. Recently I read that there are a number of websites similar to The Dry Eye Zone where people can discuss and compare results of medical tests, lab tests, and other data. I have had DNA work done, and think it would be interesting to know how many dry eye sufferers share common genetic markers. I'd also be curious to know what commonalities there are with regard to blood and other tests. It would be great to have this data compiled and in one place.
