There is a study about Stromal stem cells therapy and its in clinical human phase 1, our biggest problem is that the laser when he cutted the flap or when it shapes the stromal bed kills nerves , what if stem cells regenerate the stromal bed?
Im reading studies that say that in 2 years , a procedure might be available to repair stromal bed from injuries , laser is like injury so.
The procedure is simple , remove the epithelium and then apply a gel with stem cells that regenerate the stromal bed.
I was thinking its possible for us , dry eyes sufferers lasik to do this procedure?
What do you think ?
